Haka the Legend is a New Zealand Māori culture performing arts and experience company established in 1993.
Haka the Legend supports Te Reo Māori language, pride, wellbeing and cultural knowledge We established 'Te Whānau Raukura', a group of expert Māori kapa haka performers living all across Auckland and working part-time at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. We are also educators and teachers, working on public programmes at the Auckland Museum and at schools in our suburbs.
We have a deep love of Te Reo Māori and Māori culture, particularly kapa haka. For us it is about the ihi (excitement), the wehi (awe) and the wana (thrill).
Testimonials & Reviews
“The group were amazing, so professional, funny and educational. I received so many comments, in particular from the Australians attending, about how much they enjoyed the performance and especially learning something about the Maori culture. I know many said it was great to know where and how the word Kia Ora is used, as it was a word they heard often. So thank you for your wonderful work.”

“Thanks again for organising an amazing performance last week for our Maori Scholarship Awards Night! I didn't get a chance to thank the team after their performance, but I wonder if you can pass on my thanks to them on behalf of the Crimson team? “
